For SaaS founder-CEOs running marketing themselves.

You don't have a $300K marketing hire's headcount yet. Senior strategy + agent throughput in a fixed 6-month engagement, with a Month-6 verdict at the end.

What you’re solving for

You’re a founder-CEO running marketing yourself, or with a junior marketer and a content tool subscription. The product works. ARR has crossed $1M. The CFO wants a defendable plan to take organic to $5M ARR contribution. Hiring a $300K senior marketing leader feels premature for the headcount math; not hiring leaves you doing the strategy work in evenings.

The engagement was built for this stage. Senior strategy in the engagement; agent throughput behind it; you stay the GM + brand voice owner; the senior operator on our side handles the strategist work without a 6-month ramp.

Why founders pick this over hiring

Two structural advantages of buying productized vs hiring senior at this stage.

Time to impact. A senior hire takes 60–90 days to learn your business + 60–90 days to ship the schema graph and cluster architecture + 30–60 days to instrument reporting. By Month 6 they’re starting to ship compounding output. Our engagement gets there at Day 30 because the playbook is fixed and the ramp doesn’t apply.

Headcount math. $210K loaded for the senior + $117K for a mid + $30K tooling = ~$360K Year 1 to ship a comparable shape. The engagement is $120K POC + $240K annual = $360K Year 1, no hiring risk, no ramp opportunity cost. About even on cost; faster on time-to-impact; cleaner on commercial certainty.

The trade is institutional knowledge — your senior hire would build long-term context we won’t. About a third of clients pick the hybrid path: run the engagement to ship the spine, hire around Month 4 so the senior shadows the work, hand the cadence over at Month 6.

What we ask of you

Two hours a week. Weekly approval call with the senior operator (30 min) + your own time reviewing draft content (60–90 min). The remaining 8 hours of work happen on our side.

Positioning authority. You sign off on the locked Golden Anchor in week 3. After that you trust the senior operator to apply the anchor consistently across the cluster cadence.

Decision authority on $120K. No procurement gauntlet. The whole point of this offering is operator-to-operator commercial conversation.

What you keep

The brand voice. Locked anchor sentence is yours. We rent the publishing surface for 6 months; the voice and the artifacts stay in your ownership.

The cadence. Documented in writing by Month 6. If you renew, we keep running it. If you don’t, your in-house team takes it over with the runbook + the agent-fleet integration documented.

The dashboard. Live attribution dashboard with the frozen Month 0 baseline. Yours forever.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask.

I'm running marketing myself. Should I hire or buy the engagement?

If your funnel was working a year ago and you have signal that hiring would fix it, hire. If the failure mode is structural — stalled organic, no answer-engine surfacing, paid getting expensive — a senior hire takes 6 months to ramp into shipping. The engagement gets you to a documented cadence by Month 6 + you can hire someone in Month 7 to maintain it.

How much CEO time does the engagement take?

Two hours a week, plus a 30-minute monthly review. Discovery questionnaire is 20–30 minutes upfront; positioning sign-off is the largest single ask (2–4 hours in week 3); after that, weekly approval calls with the senior operator are the steady-state commitment.

What if my product changes mid-engagement?

We re-anchor. Material product or positioning changes trigger a written ADR — anchor delta documented, schema graph updated, cluster pages refreshed against the new components. Roughly one engagement in five hits a mid-flight pivot of this magnitude; the framework handles it.

Do you work with pre-seed or seed-stage SaaS?

No. Our floor is roughly Series A — call it $1M+ ARR with $120K of marketing budget that can be defended to a board. Pre-seed companies are better off with a positioning consultant and a content tool subscription until product-market fit is locked. We will tell you on the discovery call if you're below the floor.
